2012 New Year Resolution (Parenting)

Goal: To raise health, happy, caring and competitive kids!

- Provide nutritious food on time. Eat breakfast at 7:30, dinner between 5:30 to 6.
- Ask kids to follow schedule every day. Continue to use score as merit method for good work.
GD:
1) Make good use of planning book to track daily tasks.
2) Focus, focus, focus!!! Manage distractions.
3) Organize, organize, organize!!! All things should have its place.
4) Time management. Make good use of limited time to finish all to-dos.
5) Major tasks: School home work, Chinese/art, piano, Flute, 5 words per day, exercise
6) Current events. Pick a topic and read a article each week and present to family.
7) Social study.
8) Science

SD:
1) Encourage him to try new things, new food.
2) English reading. One book per week. 10 words per week.
3) English writing. One story per week.
4) Chinese reading. One story per week.
5) Chinese writing. 5 works per week.
6) Piano. Two 15 minutes per day.
7) Physical exercise. 30 minutes per day.
8) Major tasks: Reading, writing, Chinese, piano, exercise

- Bedtime 8:30-9:00. Friday & Saturday, 10:00. A peaceful bedtime is the key to a good night rest and happy morning family time.

- Send a note every week for their hard work to make their promises, being a good kid, and caring.
